It is what helps ease the heartache of life without Thai.
Each day I watch Piper interact with the cats (of course, now it’s just Oreo), my heart melts. Since I did not grow up with any pets, I am so glad she has the opportunity to be surrounded by such amazing creatures. Even at two, she realizes what a joy they are and shows them respect, appreciation and love beyond what I could ever have imagined a toddler capable of giving.
Of course, it helps when you have a cat like Oreo, who is so complacent throughout her endless torture. In fact, he often seeks her out for his daily abuse. Piper has a tendency to teat him as her personal furniture. This was Oreo being her pillow, for a three hour nap!
How freaking cute is that!?!

By the way, I just love her name. I wanted to name my daughter Piper too, but my husband wasn't for it cuz he thought I only liked it because of the show Charmed. To which I said SO WHAT? and totally ruined all chances of getting my dream name. Darn it.
i so want a pet and have been unable to break through the iron curtain of no pets. will perhaps use this post.
My female cat is a bit older, and anti-social. She's never forgiven me for bringing the screeching children into her house in the first place. She pretty much stays as far away from them as she can. LOL!
my daughter is scared to death of animals being close to her. she loves pictures of them and seeing them from a distance. But if she was that close to a cat as your daughter is, she'd scream and run away
